Amazing work by Roy Staab which in time, faster than others his work will breakdown and return back to nature. The work is beautiful, as well as simple in materials.

Keep coming across Winnipeg illustrator Ray Fenwick, and love all his work, especially the stuff with a splash of humor. He’s produced work for GOOD to the New York Times, and a number of design blogs as of late. Check his work out on his portfolio site, Flickr, and you can’t be a young hip design/illustrator without a Twitter account.

This was the first piece I saw of Ray Fenwick’s but like most images on Tumblr, the image had no credit. I just had to wait a few months to run into his work again. This piece makes me want to camping…and I’m not much of a camper.

He also has collection of patterns, some (not this one) were used for the client Houghton Mifflin as book covers.

I’ve had a bunch of unopened Altoids in my kitchen cabinet for the past year plus from my time at Paper Magazine. It was for some promotional event, so Altoids sent over boxes of Altoids prior to when I started. When I started my boss encouraged me to take as many as I wanted. I did along with a couple of free Red Bulls. Fast forward a year and most of them still sit in my cabinet.
Fortunately there is someone making better use of Altoids packaging. Ampoid uses the signature Altoids tin boxes for a tiny portable amp. Plug-in, open, play. Check out Ampoids store where they go for 30 bucks.

Been looking at Alex Prior’s portfolio site for about fifty-ish-minutes and there isn’t a project I don’t love. This recent graduate has some ill concepts and gorgeous typography. He has also found himself getting plenty of praise from D&AD as well.

Dig the work of Chris Silas Neal who works up at Greenpoint’s Pencil Factory. His handwritten typography, colors, and textures makes his work really interesting and inspiring. My favorite piece is the above Fleet Foxes poster. I just love the color combo with the rad illustrations.
