Coincidence that I saw this piece on the subway by Sophie Blackall, and then came across this video of her working on that very piece appropriately named Missed Connections, after her popular book. Yet still my favorite has to go to Duke Riley’s U-Line poster, but Sophie Blackall’s newest piece really caught my eye, and can’t wait to get a closer look soon. Often the subway is too crowded to open a magazine or book, and sometimes I rather just take things in, and these MTA’s Arts in Transit pieces always grab my attention with their detail.
