Headed down towards the East River in Williamsburg with Mackenzie to check out the new Sunday location for the Brooklyn Flea. I expected a different scene from the typical Fort Greene crowd, but it was all the same great food (with the addition of a stand from Saltie), fashionable people, gorgeous furniture, and your fair share of cute puppies. I fell in love with a desk constructed by Fat Dog Fabrication, which I’d love to introduce to my laptop some day. Maybe after a few paychecks and some guts to shell out the cash.

This also made me think about my favorite furniture site which I visit too much, Sit & Read, which Mackenzie showed me. With a couple locations around New York, this store has only a few hand-picked pieces of furniture and vintage book which are often sold even before they photograph them for the site. Below and the photo above are a few of my favorite pieces from Sit & Read.

I’ll be sure to give you an update (that’s worthy of it’s own post) if ever I do buy the dream desk by Fat Dog Fab.

The couch that Mackenzie found on Sit & Read. She was very close to purchasing it before it sold.

One of my favorite piece, but the price tag is way out of my budget.

Love this piece, as it’s obviously from New England, listing a few nearby towns/areas to my mother’s house.
