So I just bought a baby monkey print online photographed by Sharon Montrose. It was too damn cute to pass up on, plus it was on sale, and a portion of the proceeds go back to the animals she photographs. Done!
Pretty rad print from Yee-Haw Industries in Knoxville Tennessee for Jack Daniel’s Independence. This gem consists of some letterpress, is hand printed, and has custom wood carving for strictly for this print series. What could be better? Oh, adding a little Jack Daniel’s to each and every print’s ink. It comes in my favorite print size 24x18, and is only 25 bucks. I was a freelancer for two years, and technically still am. Many still think freelancers are slackers or another way of saying unemployed. The biggest pet-peeve is how (some) clients expect to save some money from a one man team, yet expect more from them. Freelancing might be the hardest job out there (probably wrong), but I don’t think I’d change my freelance experience for anything. It’s helped me really understand my field, being a grown-up, and understanding all types of different people. Bottom line…Freelance Ain’t Free.
Baubauhaus.com has recently become one of my favorite places to check out for a bit of inspiration when I’m in a designing rut. It can almost be a bit overwhelming with all the work, but something always catches my eye, sparking a new direction in whatever project I’m working on at the moment. Do use!
